Steph Allen

Stephanie Allen is a highly respected and sought-after Leadership Development Facilitator, Mentor and Coach.

Over twenty years Stephanie has gained a wide range of senior management experience, particularly in the fields of Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Personal Development & Total Quality Management. She began her management career in a major blue-chip organisation and in 1989 was part of the team responsible for introducing the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) to the company. The design & delivery of a two year training programme, across all level, as well as the facilitation of Improvement Teams has given Stephanie an in-depth, practical knowledge of the various TQM techniques & a keen interest in new ideas.

Since 1993 she has built up an enviable reputation as a Leadership Development specialist working with managers at all levels to help them and their organisations grow. Although much of her current work involves designing and delivering accredited programmes so that clients may gain internationally respected qualifications through her consultancy, The Training Spa, she also creates learning opportunities for clients who need specific skills without a qualification and works as an Executive Coach and Leadership Mentor to many senior leaders to give them additional skills as well as supporting business growth.

Stephanie supports a broad range of clients in both public and private sectors across the UK and Europe as well as delivering an annual HR Strategy Masterclass in Shanghai. In addition, she has built up a very specific niche within UK Universities working with staff and supporting them whilst they gain leadership & management qualifications. Her fifteen year relationship with the University of East Anglia, where she delivers an ongoing range of ILM qualifications, as well as other interventions, is testament to her skill, knowledge & commitment.

In July 2007 she presented a paper to the annual NESTA Conference on ‘Can you be a scientist and a manager?’. In April 2009 she was invited to present a keynote paper, on her work with creating student satisfaction programmes to the Australian Association of Tertiary Education Management in Perth. In 2012 she facilitated a workshop at an international staff conference at Oregon State University.

Her organisation, The Training Spa is a highly-respected training provider offering a range of personal and organisational development programmes designing interactive, accredited, developmental qualifications verified by the Institute for Leadership & Management (ILM). In the current climate, the majority of clients seek to undertake development on a one-to-one basis, so Stephanie works with these managers to coach them through management and leadership qualifications.

Ongoing development is about implementing improvements, so each programme identifies clear evaluation processes to ensure that learning is transferred to the workplace in a visible and accountable way.
